The Story Behind Journey Waist Beads
What started as a personal journey became something so much bigger than I ever imagined.
I never set out to become a business owner. Honestly, I didn't even consider myself a creative person. Journey Waist Beads came into my life during a season when I was navigating some personal challenges and finding my way through my own spiritual journey of healing and self-discovery.
It all started with something as simple as a gemstone bracelet.
One day, my daughter asked if I could make her a bracelet similar to one I had purchased. I figured, why not? I went to the craft store, gathered some supplies, and made bracelets for both of my daughters, Jurnee and Amara. After sharing them on social media, the response was more than I expected.
Not long after, a friend asked if I could make waist beads. At the time, I knew absolutely nothing about them, but something sparked my curiosity. I started researching, learning, experimenting, and eventually fell in love with the art of creating them.
What began as a hobby quickly became a passion.
In the summer of 2019, with the encouragement and support of my husband, I made the decision to leave my job and pursue that passion full-time. It wasn't always easy. There were plenty of lessons, mistakes, late nights, and moments when I questioned myself. But through it all, I kept creating, learning, and growing.
And that's how Journey Waist Beads came to be.
Over the years, my relationship with my craft has evolved right alongside me. What started with beautiful beads and a desire to create has grown into something much more intentional.
Today, every strand I create is a reflection of that growth. Through thoughtfully selected gemstones, meaningful color combinations, and designs created with purpose, I want women to feel connected to themselves and embrace every part of who they are.
To me, waist beads have always been more than an accessory. They're an expression of femininity, confidence, self-love, and the freedom to honor your body exactly as it is.
Journey Waist Beads is still growing, still evolving, and still rooted in the same passion that started it all.
Because the beauty has always been in the journey.
